Fathers Day Shopping Event – A Special Treat!

We’re delighted to host our Father's Day Shopping Event on Friday 19th June, with gifts available for pre-purchase in advance.

🌸 How It Works:

Purchase a gift ticket ahead of time.

On Friday, 19th June (after school), children can exchange their ticket for a gift of their choice at our special shopping event.

Friendly FOLGS volunteers will be on hand to help children select the perfect surprise.

Meanwhile, parents and carers can relax with a drink and cake while they wait.

🎁 Gifts are £4 each, and multiple gifts can be purchased.

FOLGS Colour Run – Longwell Green School

Friday 3rd July | From 3:30pm

Get ready for a fun-filled, colourful afternoon at the FOLGS Colour Run for Longwell Green School.

Join us on Friday 3rd July from 3:30pm for an exciting community event packed with colour, energy and family fun. Participants will make their way around the course while being showered with bursts of vibrant coloured powder along the route.

Whether you choose to run, jog, walk or dance your way around, it’s all about taking part, having fun and supporting our wonderful school community.

This is a sponsored fundraising event, helping to raise vital funds for Longwell Green School through Friends of Longwell Green School (FOLGS). Sponsorship can be collected from friends and family, with all funds raised going directly towards enhancing school activities, resources and opportunities for our children.

Event Schedule

Participants will run in year group waves:

3:25pm – Gather for warm-up (Preschool & Reception)
3:30pm – Preschool & Reception Run

3:40pm – Gather for warm-up (Year 1)
3:45pm – Year 1 Run

3:55pm – Gather for warm-up (Year 2)
4:00pm – Year 2 Run

4:10pm – Gather for warm-up (Year 3)
4:15pm – Year 3 Run

4:25pm – Gather for warm-up (Year 4)
4:30pm – Year 4 Run

4:40pm – Gather for warm-up (Year 5)
4:45pm – Year 5 Run

4:55pm – Gather for warm-up (Year 6)
5:00pm – Year 6 Run

FOLGS Colour Run – Participant Waiver & Consent Form

Longwell Green School | Friday 3rd July | From 3:30pm

By purchasing a ticket and/or participating in the FOLGS Colour Run, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

In order your child/children to participate in the FOLGS School Event, the following must be completed in full prior to the event.

1. I am aged 18 years or above and wish for my child to participate in the FOLGS Colour Event and I am the parent/legal guardian of the registered child/children who is/are under the age of 18. 2. I wish for these child/children to participate in the Colour Run on 3rd July 2026

2. I agree that my child will participate in the Colour Event in accordance with the specific safety rules clearly explained by school staff/FOLGS Volunteers at the beginning of the challenge.

3. I understand that participating in the FOLGS colour event is a potentially hazardous activity where coloured powder will be thrown at and around my child/ children during the event. However, I understand that the powder is EN71 Certified and we as a School / PTA have done everything possible to ensure our powders are the safest available, but I understand that the suitability for my child/ children to take part in the event falls on myself.

4. I agree that my child will wear any safety equipment in accordance with the safety instructions and risk assessment, there is an advisory to wear eye protection. Sunglasses and prescription eyewear are not technically eye protection.

5. I agree to provide a white or light coloured t-shirt to wear on the course.

6. Participants are expected to follow the instructions that are given to them. They must adhere to school rules show respect towards the other pupils taking part, school staff, and other parents / legal guardians.

7. I confirm that my child is in good health and has no medical impairments that may prevent them from participating in the activity. If I have any concerns about their physical condition, I will consult my doctor before participating in the activity and inform the school straight away.

8. I acknowledge that participation in the activity may be physically demanding and that there are risks of injury.

9. I agree that no other powders will be brought on to site on the day of the event.

10. I hereby indemnify FOLGS against all claims made by any other person against in respect of any injury, loss or damage, arising out of or in connection with my failure to comply with the safety instructions and/or directions given by the school staff. 11. I acknowledge that I have read, fully understand and agree with all of the above (Points 1-9) prior to signing below.
